Director of Technology Position

The Kennebec Water District is seeking candidates to fill a Director of Technology position based at 6 Cool Street in Waterville.

The successful candidate must be able to display an exceptional work ethic, strong technical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  

This is a salaried, professional position offering a competitive wage and benefit package.

The Director of Technology is responsible for managing day-to-day operational technology needs as well as larger one-time projects, setting goals for technology systems, establishing expectations on how technology is to be used, managing a technology budget, overseeing technology contractors, and training employees how to use these systems. The Director of Technology would also be responsible for identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate security measures and controls to protect KWD information technology systems. 

Candidates should possess a four-year degree from an accredited college in information technology or related technical fields including engineering, computer science, etc.
