Water Quality Monitoring and Reporting

Maintaining water safety and quality is our number one concern. We ensure we are making and distributing the highest quality, clean, and safe drinking water through a strict testing regime and maintaining a State of Maine accredited, modern laboratory. The testing regime carried out by trained water quality experts consists of testing multiple locations within the treatment process and many locations within the 150 mile distribution system. More than 2,000 water samples are collected annually and over 10,000 tests are performed on these samples. Additionally, in-line analyzers are continually monitoring key locations in the process for pH, turbidity, chlorine residual, and fluoride.
